WordPress Questions and Answers (CMA) - Theme - Managing User Q&A Ratings
Managing User Q&A Ratings
In the plugin settings, you can define whether or not the rating system is enabled for answers.
The WordPress Questions and Answers also lets you choose whether or not you would like to allow negative ratings.
Enabling User Ratings
First, navigate to the Thread tab under plugin settings.
Under the Questions section, you can allow user ratings of posted questions.
The admin can also choose if authors are able to mark a question as their "favorite".
Note: Click here to learn how admins can allow authors to select the best answer out of all the responses submitted to their question!
Under the Question Ratings section in Appearance tab in the plugin settings, the admin can determine how the votes will be displayed. Select from total number of votes on questions or answers, the rating of the best answer, the sum of votes for both questions and answers, or the rating of the question. The admin can also enable an option that will change the display of "0" votes to "No" votes.
User Experience
After enabling user ratings, users can vote on questions and answers in the forum by clicking on the up or down arrows! Users will then be able to filter results by highest rating.
Anonymous Voting
You can allow voting by guests by enabling option Allow guests voting under the Thread tab. Protection against multiple votes supports cookie and IP address information.
