The CM Answers plugin integrates with the default WordPress comments feature.

Below is the default WP comment feature available on pages and posts:

Enabling CM Answers on Pages and Posts

To enable questions for a page, go to the Edit page view. The Discussion box will now have a new option Replace comments with the CM Answers category

For each post/page, you can select an existing CM Answers category to replace default comments.

You can also create a new category of questions for your page.

When a user posts his comment on a post or page, it will appear in that CM Answers question category.

All comments will be displayed in a default questions table.

Controlling the Q&A Widget look and Feel

In the plugin settings under Appearance  Miscellaneous section you can define the shortcode which is used to control the look and feel of the comments widget.

To change the look and feel you can use any of the existing attributes for the shortcode to control this comments widget

  • Attributes for shortcode replacing default comments - If you replaced the default comments on a post or page, instead of default comments, the questions from the chosen category will be displayed using a shortcode with these attributes. You can use the same attributes as in the cma-questions shortcode.
