Setting Up the Shopping Cart Price Rules

To add a "Free Gift and discount" shopping cart rule, you will need to create a new shopping cart price rule in Marketing → Promotions → Cart Price Rules.In this screen, you can click Add New Rule.

Adding Free Gift Rule - Step-By-Step

1) Set the Conditions

The rule will only apply if the chosen conditions are true

2) Choose to Apply Free Gift

Under  Action, go to the the "Apply" drop-down menu and choose: “Buy Product X and get Product Y for free (with optional discount amount)”

3) Define Which Are The Free Gifts

In the "Add free gift to the promotion" text box, add the gift/gifts SKU/s.

You can add multiple products' SKUs separated by commas. If you would like to give a greater quantity of the same gift, just add the same SKU multiple times.

The following example would add two instances of WH05-XL-White and one of 24-WG02:

4) (Optional) Add a % Discount

If you would like to add a discount (in additional to the free gift), you can add an optional discount amount (percentage) that can be specified in the “Discount Amount” field.

5) (Optional) Limit The Rule To Certain Cart Items

Finally, remember to  save the Configuration!
