TIP: What Are Shortcodes

Shortcodes add dynamic content to your site via a small piece of code. Learn more: Shortcodes - How To Use

The WordPress File manager plugin has a shortcode [cmdm-files-list] that lets the admin create a one-page download list of all available downloads.

This way, the admin can replace the default index page and all the separate download pages.

Below is an example of how the Download List shortcode will appear when you insert it in a page or post:

The parameters for this shortcode are:

  2. category="cat-name" - The category that you want the downloads to belong to.
  3. sort="desc|asc" - An option to sort the related downloads in ascending (oldest first) or descending (newest first) order.

A widget with a built-in CMDM Downloads List shortcode is also available in the widget area!
