Custom Order Status - Installation

Before Installation

Back to User Guides

Our module will completely replace the standard “Order Status” field.
It’s important to note that the data will not be lost – it is still stored in your Magento Database. However, it will no longer be visible using reports, in the order details page, or in the order grid.
For older, completed orders that you no longer need to run reports on, no action is needed.
However, for current orders that are still being processed, you will be required to re-assign a new Payment and Shipping status for each order. For this reason, we recommend that you print a copy of your current order grid (or take a screenshot), so that you can easily and quickly re-assign the statuses as needed. It’s also a good idea to perform the installation after business hours, as it may take a short while to assign statuses if you have many open orders.
If there are too many open orders to reassign them manually, or if you wish to assign statuses to all historical orders, this can be quickly and easily done in the database directly, either by your in-house IT person or by Creative Minds team.
