Editing Configurable Products

The site admin can modify configurable products for different configurations through the True Edit Orders extension. The extension allows for the preferred configuration to be selected rather than requiring that the product be removed and replaced with the correct associated product.

Editing Configurable Product order

To modify an order containing a configurable product, in the admin panel navigate to Sales → Orders. Then identify the order containing the configurable product that you need to modify and click View in the rightmost column for the order row.

The detailed order view will appear. Scroll down until you reach the Items Ordered section. Click Edit in the top right corner.

The order editor will initiate. Any items in the order that have configurations available (size, weight, color, etc, will have an orange Configure button, those that do not will show the button as grey).

Click on the orange Configure button for the product configuration that you would like to change.

Change what needs changing, in this case, the color and size are being edited.

Then click the Save button at the bottom to save the changes.
