Using the Search Widget

To configure the search widget in the WordPress FAQ plugin, navigate to the Search Widget tab in the plugin options.

Here you have many options: 

  • Choose whether the search widget shows up on the FAQ index page or the front page of the website:

  • Choose on what posts types the widget appears, including custom post types:

  • Choose whether to show the first line of answers in the search widget:

The results are live and search terms are highlighted in the results. You can choose to enable/disable showing voting in the search widget on the Voting tab. Learn more: WordPress FAQ Plugin (CMFAQ) - Voting on Answers.
