WordPress Table of Contents Plugin (CMTOC) - How To - Change Front-end Labels
Changing Front-end Labels
As with all of our plugins, the WordPress Table of Contents plugin allows you to customize the front-end labels to suit a site that is in a foreign language or that uses a more or less casual style of english, for example. The plugin has a few labels that you can edit:
- Table of contents title
- Show/Hide button
- Floating TOC button
- Back to the top button
To edit these labels, navigate to Admin Dashboard → CM Table of Contents Pro → Settings → Table of Contents tab.
Under the section Title style you can find 3 labels:
- Title text - This changes the title of the Table of Contents
- Show label and Hide label - These labels change the button for toggling the Table of Contents.
Now head to the section Back to the Top Button. By default, the button displays the arrow, but you can put some text there by changing the label Text. There are some more options for customizing this button, learn more: How To - Add "Back to the Top" Button
To change next label, head to the section Floating TOC. You can change the text of this button using the label Button Text. There are some more options for customizing the button, learn more: Modifying TOC Button (Floating TOC, Show/Hide)
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes to save.
