Adding/Editing FAQ Categories
The WordPress FAQ plugin allows each question to have a specific category that can help readers find a question regarding a specific topic.
To do this, click on Categories under the plugin tab.

You can then add a category name, description, and specify a parent category.

For each category, you can upload an icon image and specify the order. This icon can be cleared after selecting the category page.
Here you also can assign a category to the Lists.

For example, here is a category with an icon image next to one without.

On this same page, you can view a list of all the FAQ categories and click on a category to edit.

Subcategories
Since the version 1.8.0, the plugin supports creating subcategories.
To do this, while creating or editing a category, just choose a Parent Category in the corresponding dropdown.

You can see the result hierarchy in the table with existing categories:

Users will be able to see the categories hierarchy on the front-end:

The parent categories will include all questions from the subcategories:
