CM Search and Replace (CMSR) - Settings

Back to User Guide

Navigate to Admin Dashboard → Search & Replace → Settings → Settings tab.

The options are:

  • Search & Replace edit page display - You can define, if you want to display all replacement rules on one page (in plugin settings) or to paginate them. If you choose to paginate them, there appears one more option Search & Replace items per page, where you need to set the amount of replacement rules on one page.
  • Search & Replace post types - Enable Search & Replace functionality for different post types, content, excerpts, comments and more.
  • Search & Replace excluded posts/pages - You can select the Posts/Pages you'd like to exclude from Search & Replace functionality.

You can define where the replacement rules will be applied. Options include:

  • Search & Replace in the site title. Note: this option was introduced in version 1.2.5.
  • Search & Replace in the page/post title
  • Search & Replace in content
  • Search & Replace in excerpt
  • Search & Replace in comments

One more option:

  • Cleanup database - This option will completely erase all of the data stored by the Search & Replace in the database: items, options, synonyms etc. It cannot be reverted, so use it carefully.

When you finished configuring settings, click the Save Changes button located at the bottom of the page.
