What is this Feature

The WordPress Course Catalog plugin allows sending email notifications to users and admin once the user was registered or unregistered or when the course period is changed. To change the templates, navigate to Admin Dashboard → CM Course Catalog Pro → Settings → Email Reports tab.

General

  • Sender name - Add the name which is added to the email header. If the field is empty, the blog name will be used instead.
  • Sender email - Add the sender email address. If the field is empty, the blog admin email will be used instead.

Email Templates

There are a few different email templates. These are the common settings for all the reports

  • Send? - Send the email when a user is added/unregistered, etc.
  • Subject - Edit the subject of the email template. Supports the following placeholders: 
    • [period_code]
    • [period_start]
    • [period_end]
    • [user_full_name]
    • [user_first_name]
    • [user_last_name]
    • [user_email]
  • Message template - Edit the body of the email template. Accepts HTML and supports the following placeholders:
    • [course_link] 
    • [period_code] 
    • [period_start] 
    • [period_end] 
    • [user_full_name] 
    • [user_first_name] 
    • [user_last_name] 
    • [user_email] 
    • [userfield_] (for fields from builder) eg. [userfield_text-1574797510819]. Note: this field is only for the email template Admin Reports - Registered.
    • [bought_tickets] (note: this placeholder is available in the Enterprise Edition only)
    • [total_price] (note: this placeholder is available in the Enterprise Edition only)
    • [purchase_id] (note: this placeholder is available in the Enterprise Edition only)
    • [calendar_link] (note: this placeholder is available in the Enterprise Edition only)
    • [info_for_user] (note: this placeholder is available in the Enterprise Edition only)

User Reports - Registered

After a new user registers to any course, a new participant will get this email notification.

User Reports - Unregistered

After a user unregisters from any course, a participant will get this email notification.

User Reports - Period change

After the course period is changed, a participant who was registered to that course will get this email notification.

Admin Reports - Registered

After a new user registers to any course, the admin will get this email notification.

Admin Reports - Unregistered

After a new user unregisters from any course, the admin will get this email notification.

Admin Reports - Sold Out

Note: This email template is available only in the Enterprise Edition of the WordPress Course Catalog plugin.

The admin will get this email notification, when all tickets for all courses are sold.

When you finish editing email templates, don't forget to click the button Update at the bottom of the page to save the changes.
