Search and Replace Plugin (CMSR) - Importing and Exporting Replacement Rules
Importing and Exporting Replacement Rules
What is This Feature
The Search and Replace plugin allows you export and import all replacement rules, including paused ones. This is done via a .json file.
This is useful to migrate rules from different sites or add/remove them in batch.
Accessing Export/Import Settings
Head to Admin Panel → Search & Replace → Export/Import.

This is the screen where you perform both operations.

Start by clicking Download Export File. You can now edit your rules and create new ones.
Editing the json File
You can edit json files with any text editor. There are also online alternatives, such as https://jsoneditoronline.org/.
The most important field is "cmodsar_replacements", where the rules are listed.

In this example, we duplicate one rule to create a new one.
