Creating a Slider
Two Shortcuts
You can add a new slider in two ways:
1. Go to the section All Sliders below Powerful Slider Plugin, and click the button Add New.
2. Below Powerful Slider Plugin find the section Add New. You will be redirected to the Add New Slider page immediately.
Add New Slider
You can add a slider within this particular area, customize global settings, add images, change styles and more.
1. Title
Enter title here - allows adding a custom title here. This title will be visible for the admin only.
2. Manage Slides
+ Add Multiple Slides - the button, allows uploading multiple images to be inserted into a slider.
Upload Image - the button, allows uploading and adding an image to the slide.
Image alt - add an alternative text here. It should include targeted keyword optimization in a context that describes what the image is about.
Target URL - allows adding a URL that will redirect users to that resources. You can insert a promotion slide, or a new article and redirect the users directly to the specified pages. Make sure the URL starts with http:// and https://.
Open link in a new window - opens a slide in a new window if the link is added.
Title - allows adding a title here. You can add a title for Slideshow only.
Description - allows adding a description for a Slideshow slider type only. The Description will be shown below the Title.
Save Slide - saves the slide and allows adding a new one.
3. Shortcodes
This section shows the Slider ID which should be inserted into a shortcode. Thus you can put the sliders anywhere on your website.
Slider ID - shows the Slider ID.
Produces Slider - shows the final shortcut that can be inserted into a page.
4. Slider Options
These settings are inherited from the global settings. The plugin allows changing these settings for each slider separately. Thus you will get a fully customized and unique sliders for your website.
Slider Type - allows choosing a slider type: Bullets, Slideshow or Thumbnails. You will find the example of each slider type below the options.
Slider Width - the width of the slider. You can specify its dimensions by entering the values into the field, or using the Up and Down arrows. If you need to inherit global settings, set -1 in the field.
Width in percents - allows setting the width in percents. You can set Follow global settings or choose your own settings. If you select Yes the width will be set in percents. Thus it means 100 pixels = 100%. So if a user wants to set a full width, the 100 value in percents should be specified.
Slider height - the height of the slider. You can specify the height dimensions by entering the values into the field, or using the Up and Down arrows. If you need to inherit global settings, set -1 in the field
Vertical controls - allows activating vertical controls on the slider. The controls are activated by default. You can set Follow global settings or choose your own settings
Vertical controls size - configures the size of vertical controls on the slider. You can select either Short or Full controls to be displayed for the slider. You can set Follow global settings or choose your own settings.
Autostart - if you select auto start on the slider, the slides will start moving to the next ones automatically. You can set Follow global settings or choose your own settings. If No is chosen, the users will need to click on the controls or slides to see the next slide.
Slide duration - you can also set a custom duration when one slide stays on the screen (in milliseconds). 4000 milliseconds are set by default. If you need to inherit global settings, set -1 in the field.
Transition speed - defines transition speed when the slides should change each other (in milliseconds). 500 milliseconds are set by default. If you need to inherit global settings, set -1 in the field.

Creating a Slider
To add a new slider, do the following:
- Choose a slider type in the Slider Options section. You can preview how the chosen type looks like in the example below the setting.
- Enter a title for your slider in the field Enter title here.
- Upload images to your slide by using the button Upload Image. Please remember to upload one image per one slide. You can upload multiple images in bulk by clicking the button + Add Multiple Slides.
- Add Image Alt that can be used for SEO.
- Enter Target URL starting with http:// or https:// The entered value will redirect the user to the specified page or website.
- Mark Open link in a new window.
- Enter a Title for the slide.
- Add a Description that will be available below the entered title on the Frontend.
- Remember to save the slide by clicking on Save.
You can add multiple slides by entering information in the form +Add Another Slide.
Publish
To save the slider, click the button Save Draft. Or if you need to publish the slider immediately, click the button Publish.
