CM Download Manager supports uploading downloads from all registered WordPress users*, depending on the plugin access settings:
This means that every registered user must be logged in to WordPress to be able to upload files.
ou can also accommodate anonymous uploads if you install the CM Download Anonymous Posting.
WordPress Profile Login
If your users have an active WordPress profile defined on your site, they can log in with their username and password.
Once logged in, they will be able to upload files, as well as post questions on the download page.
Social Media Login
With the Pro edition of CM Download Manager, you can allow users to register and log in using their social media accounts from Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Microsoft Live.
You will find the settings in the Social Login tab in the plugin settings.
Once they log in with their social media accounts, a new WordPress profile will be assigned to their social profile, which will enable them to upload files.

You can add API keys to support registration and login from social media. If you enable this feature, the login box will include social media icons.
Controlling the Login Widget Look and Feel
To control the login widget look & feel you need to click on the General tab and find the Login Widget section:
- Display login widget in the index page - Once checked the login widget will appear at the bottom of the index page when a user is not logged in.
- Display login widget in the download page - Once checked the login widget will appear at the bottom of the download page when a user is not logged in.
- Display login form on the login widget - Lets you turn off the login widget completely.
