WordPress Glossary Plugin (CMTG) - Tooltips - Alternative Way To Show Tooltips
Alternative Way To Show Tooltips
Note: Features covered in this guide are available since version 4.5.1 of the WordPress Glossary plugin.
By default, the plugin displays tooltips next to the terms when hovering on them:
There's also an alternative way to display tooltips - next to the screen side, and it can be opened only when clicking/tapping on the term. On mobile devices the tooltip will be displayed at the bottom of the screen, and for desktop devices you can choose the position - at the bottom, on the left or right side of the screen.
Settings
To find the settings, navigate to Admin Dashboard → CM Tooltip Glossary → Settings → Tooltip tab.

There are a few ways to display such type of a tooltip:
- By clicking/tapping the close button in the corner of the tooltip. For that method, make sure that the option Show "Close" icon is enabled:
- By clicking/tapping outside the tooltip area. For that method, enable the option Close tooltips on touch outside - it can be found under the Tooltip - Mobile Support & Activation section.
- By just pulling the tooltip to the relevant side. Example of pulling the tooltip down on mobile device:
