The Business Directory plugin has a few views which you can choose for your directory appearance. One of them is New Directory View. To configure it, navigate to the Admin Dashboard → CM Business Directory Pro → Settings → Directory Appearance tab.

In the first section, set New Directory View as Current View.

Change the heading level of the business title (this can be useful for SEO). In the example below, the business names will be inside h3 tags. Learn more about headings.

The option availble for the current view can be found below in the section New Directory View Settings.

• Display rating - Enable it, if you want to display the rating for each business.
• Display business address - Enable it, if you want to display each business address below the title.
• Show business open/close status - Enable it, if you want to display business open/close status.
• Display business Web URL - Enable it, if you want to display each business Web URL (Website).
• Display business description - Select what to display as a business description:
  • No - Choose it to not display description.
  • Excerpt - Choose it to display excerpt.
  • Full text - Choose it to display full description.
  • First paragraph only - Choose it to display only first paragraph of the description.
  • Limited words - Choose it to show only certain number of words from the description. The limit is defined in the option below.
• Limited Words - Define how many words of the description should be display for each business in case if you chose the relevant option above.
• Display business categories - Enable it, if you want to display each product category below the title.

New Directory View - Rating

To display rating go to the CM Star Rating Settings tab.

Turn on the option Enable Star Rating System, then save the changes.

Extra - Displaying Map

If you're using the WordPress Interactive Map plugin, you can display a floating map next to the list of business, to make the view more user-friendly. The user can click on the needed business on the map, and the relevant business be highlighted in the list.

When the plugin is activated, you can find new settings under the Business Directory tab.

Find and configure the following settings:

• Show CM Locations Map - Choose Yes to display the map with businesses on the index page.
• Map Position - Select Right side of results.

Save the changes.
