Excluding Specific Titles From Parsing

Back to User Guides

The WordPress Table of Contents plugin allows to exclude specific titles in the post/page from parsing.

It can be done with the help of a shortcode [table_of_content_exclude]

You need to wrap unwanted title with the opening and closing shortcode in the following way:

[table_of_content_exclude] Title [/table_of_content_exclude]

This is how it looks like on the back-end:

Adding shortcodes - Add Table of Contents WordPress

Result on the Front-end - the wrapped title is not displayed in the table of contents:

Front-end result - Floating Table of Contents WordPress
