WordPress Course Catalog Plugin - Widgets
Widgets
You can configure the WordPress Course Catalog plugin widgets by navigating to Admin Dashboard → Appearance → Widgets.
Note: WordPress renewed Widget Settings in the version 5.8. If you want to configure widgets in classic style you can use the plugin Classic Widgets.
Widgets
The plugin has four widgets:
- Random Course
- Categories
- Latest Courses
- Course Period Select
Random Course
Here you configure the following:
- Title - How it will appear on the front-end.
- Number of items - Amount of random courses displayed in the widget on the front-end.
- Show category? - Enable it to display a relevant category under every course.
Front-end:
Categories
Here you configure the following:
- Title - How it will appear on the front-end.
- Show items number? - Enable it to display amount of courses that belong to each category.

Latest Courses
Here you configure the following:
- Title - How it will appear on the front-end.
- Number of items - Amount of lust published courses displayed in the widget on the front-end.
- Show category? - Enable it to display a relevant category under every course.

Course Period Select
Note: This widget can work properly only on the Course Page.
Here you configure the following:
- Show Date - Displays start date of the course period.
- Show Date end - Displays end date of the course period.
- Show Start time - Displays start time of the course meetings.
- Show End time - Displays end time of the course meetings.
- Show No of meetings - Displays number of the course meetings.
- Show Location - Displays the location of the course.
- Show Code - Displays the code of the course period.
- Border color - Change the color of widget's border.
- Background color - Change the color of widget's background.
- Padding (in px) - Change the padding from the border.
Front-end:
Course Page Widget Area
The plugin has its own widget area called Course Page Widget Area.
Widgets placed in this area will be displayed only on the Course Page and will only show if the cm_default template is selected.
