Settings

To configure additional taxonomies in the WordPress Member Directory plugin, navigate to the Admin Dashboard → CM Expert Directory → Settings.

Click on the Taxonomies tab.

Here, you can enable each taxonomy and change their labels.


Expert Page

Click on the Expert Page tab.

In the Taxonomy Terms section choose if you want to list each taxonomy terms on the Expert Page.

Directory Index

To display Additional Taxonomy filters on the Expert Directory click on the Expert Directory tab.

In the Standard Filter Settings section enable filters for selected Taxonomies. Also here you can choose if you want do display filters as Tags or Dropdown selectors.

To save changes click on the Update button.

Filter and Sorting by Taxonomies

Note: this section was introduced in version 1.7.9.

  • Use Taxonomy filter - Enable this options to use Filter by Taxonomies instead of Standard Filter. This filter works with AJAX, so it doesn't demand reloading the page to refresh the results. Users will be able to filter experts by the following parameters: Custom Taxonomy 4, Custom Taxonomy 5 and Gender
  • Display Taxonomy 4 - Display Custom Taxonomy 4 in filter. Note: this feature was introduced in version 1.8.3.
  • Display Taxonomy 5 - Display Custom Taxonomy 5 Gender in filter. Note: this feature was introduced in version 1.8.3.
  • Display Taxonomy 6 - Display Custom Taxonomy 6 in filter. Note: this feature was introduced in version 1.8.3.
  • Display Gender - Display Gender in filter. Note: this feature was introduced in version 1.8.3.
  • Sorting by (before filter apply) - Select the type of sorting before applying the filter. You can choose between:
    • Random
    • Menu Order
    • Alphabetical
    • Price Low
    • Price High
  • Sorting by (after filter apply) - Select the type of sorting after applying the filter. You can choose between:
    • Random
    • Menu Order
    • Alphabetical
    • Price Low
    • Price High
