RMA - Managing Types

Managing RMA Types

Back to User Guides

In most circumstances there will be various different types of RMA requests that customers might wish to make. They may wish to return something that is the wrong size and exchange it for a different one, or they might have a faulty item but again prefer to exchange it for a working one. Then there will be straight refunds too. For these difference scenarios we require different RMA types.

To get to the Manage Types page on the Admin panel navigate to RMA → Settings → Manage Types.

Add New RMA Types

To create a new RMA Type, on the Manage Types page click on the Add New button above the table of RMA Types on the right.

This will open the Create Type page.

On the Create Type page in the field labeled Type Name enter the name that you would like to give this RMA Type.

Optionally give the Type a sort which will help with categorizing the types, which can be useful when there are many different Type.

Once this is done click Save on the top right of the window to save it.

Deleting existing RMA Types

When an Admin has created their own Custom RMA Types it is possible for them to also delete these later should they become redundant. To do this go to the screen showing the list of RMA Types.

Identify the Type that is to be deleted and on the very right of the Type row click on the Edit button to view the RMA type in more detail.
Once inside the RMA view, click on the Delete button above the form.

Editing Existing RMA Statuses

If an Admin should see a status that has a mistake in the name or for some reason wish to rename an existing status it is possible for them to do this through the Manage Status page.

Identify the Status that is to be modified and on the the right of the chosen status row click on Edit.
This should redirect you to the Edit Status page. This page is much the same as the Create Status page but instead of a blank Status name field, the Status name field contains the current name and the sort field will have the current sort details. Change these as required.

Click Save to save the changes.
