CM Tooltip (CMTG) - Extras - Adding MetaBox to a Custom Post

Controlling tooltip usage in each post

The CM tooltip glossary plugin contains advanced settings that add a glossary metabox to the edit screen of your WordPress posts and pages, where you can easily override your general tooltip settings and customize them for the particular page or post you are editing.

Why do I need the glossary metabox on my post?

Using the glossary metabox you will be able to control the behavior of the tooltip on a specific post. This includes:

  • Disable tooltips from appearing on the specific post
  • Disable links to the glossary terms from this post
  • Disable usage of the glossary on this page
  • Disable the “related terms” widget

How to include custom post

If you want the glossary to appear on a custom post, please go to the plugin Settings -> General Settings and find the section which deals first with custom post. You can then define which custom post will be displaying the tooltip.

You can also control if the glossary metabox will be included in your post by controlling this from the glossary settings.

Determining which terms are parsed in the post

Using the metabox shown on each post you can also exclude terms from being parsed if they appear in the post (blacklist) or include only the terms that should be parsed if found in the post (whitelist). This way you can limit what terms are linked or which tooltip are shown in each post you have.

Determining which categories are parsed in the post

Using the metabox shown on each post you can also exclude terms from being parsed based on their category if they appear in the post (blacklist) or include only the terms that should be parsed based on their category if found in the post (whitelist). This way you can limit what terms are linked or which tooltip are shown in each post you have.
