Adding Custom Taxonomies

Since version 2.2 the WordPress Travel Map plugin has the ability to define additional custom taxonomies.

Navigate to the Admin Dashboard  CM Maps Routes Manager Pro  Settings. Out of the box, the Routes types and Difficulty grades are defined as custom taxonomies.

Adding a new taxonomy is simple. Just clicking on the Add new button and define the taxonomy fields:

Each taxonomy created will also add a new link in the admin menu which will enable you to define the categories associated with this taxonomy.

You can also choose if to add the taxonomy dropbox to the filtering option showing all the available routes in the routes index page.
