CM Pay Per Post (CMPPP) - Choosing between EDD or MicroPayments

Choosing Between EDD and MicroPayments

The Pay Per Post can be integrated with EDD (Easy Digital Downloads) or MicroPayments. In each case the subscription can work to restrict the access to content only for users who subscribed / paid for access

1) With EDD the model is based on paying money directly for watching. it is a straightforward Pay Per View mode. You can define different payment tiers and allow user to choose between. You can also choose the length of the access period. The payment gateway with which user can pay for the subscription are those which you have defined for EDD. EDD has more than 30 available payment gateway including Stripe, PayPal, Skrill, 2Checkout and many more.

2) With MicroPayment the payment option and tiers are the same as in EDD but it is all based on a wallet which is available for each user. The wallet can store real money or virtual money. Once user access the page with the subscription options he needs to make sure he has enough currency available in his wallet. If he does not he will need to fill up the wallet first before being able to subscribe.

Using virtual currency can also be based not on real money but on points with user gain while performing other tasks set by the admin. Within a learning environment this can be part of an overall system for managing student activities
